Policy Changes
Monthly Medals
Commencing at the August medal there will be the following choice of tee options:
A grade will be able to play off Platinum or the Blue tees
B Grade will be able to play off the Blue or the Gold tees
C Grade will be able to play off the Blue or the Gold tees
This will apply to both the Saturday and Mid Week Medal events.
Grades
As indicated on the notice Board the grades for each competition will be as follows:
Based on the GA handicap (not daily handicap)
A Grade up to 12.0
B Grade 12.1 to 18.8
C Grade over 18.9
Fantastic Friday
There is now a new promotion for the fantastic Friday.
There are no longer compulsory tees for this event
There is no longer the $100 prize for the winners
There is an option for all players regardless of handicap to play off the Platinum tees and if youscore 37 points or better you win a box of golf balls.
Ask the golf shop staff for more details.
Changes to the Junior playing in competition rules
From August juniors will be able to be booked into all competitions at the time the sheet opens.
The junior must be booked in by an adult member who will play with the junior.
Some of the juniors, who’s fathers do not play will be looking for playing partners, so it would begreat if some members could play with the juniors to help them though the early stages of theirgolfing journey and help them with the rules, etiquette and pace of play issues.
We are making these changes to try and encourage many more junior members to develop theirgolf to become future champions for Lakeside. We currently only have 9 junior members. We would also appreciate some feedback in the conduct of the junior members during their round.
