For the first time in a couple of years we were able to field a junior pennant team thanks to the help of a couple of Camden Junior members.
The team of Noah Graham, Archie Branks, Libby Newcombe, Petar Lozusic, Rhianna Gascoine and Eden Kelly performed very well over the 5 week tournament finishing with 2 strong wins over Campbelltown and Penrith.
All players had good wins during the event and everyone enjoyed the experience.
It was a real treat to watch our pocket rocket, 8 year old Eden Kelly, take on older and more experienced opponents, with good success.
The teams for fought hard in all their matches, showing great sportsmanship throughout. They are a credit to Lakeside.
A special thanks to Callum Whitley for managing the team, his support of the players was fantastic.
Finally, thank you to the parents who came along each week and supported not only their child but the whole team with great enthusiasm.
We are already looking forward to next years Junior pennant!
Lakeside Golf Club Camden is hosting the final of the Junior Pennant and the Encourage Shield on Sunday 26th November. It is great the we are able to do this, it is very good exposure for the club and could lead to more junior golf members at Lakeside.
